Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a notification for Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2016 for recruitment to Junior Time Scale of the Services which will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from 13th May, 2016.

IES/ISS Examination will schedule to be held from 13th May, 2016 at various centres.Online registration of application will start at www.upsconline.nic.in from 16th January 2016 to 12th February 2016.

Indian Economics Service : 15 Posts

Indian Statistical Service : 13 Posts

Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and below 30 years as on 1st August 2016.Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1986 and not later than 1st August, 1995

Education Qualification

1.Indian Economic Service : Candidate must hold a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics

2.Indian Statistical Service : Candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master's degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics

Selection Process : Selection will be made through a combined competitive examination.Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2016 will be commencing from 13rd May, 2016 at AHMEDABAD, JAIPUR, ALLAHABAD, JAMMU, BENGALURU, KOLKATA, BHOPAL, LUCKNOW, CHANDIGARH, MUMBAI, CHENNAI, PATNA, CUTTAK, SHILLONG, DELHI, SHIMLA, DISPUR THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, HYDERABAD centres.

Application Fee : Application fee charges are Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) which can be pay by cash in any Branch of SBI, or online by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad /State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card

How to Apply : Candidates can apply online only for IES/ISS Examination through website www.upsconline.nic.in till 12th February 2016 till 11.59 pm by filling online Application Form as per instructions.Candidate must have a valid and active email id and mobile numbers.Candidate may download e-Admit cards through UPSC Website www.upsc.gov.in from 07.03.2016 to 04.04.2016 to appear for the IES/ISS Examination.
