about JAG Entry Scheme 17th Course OCT 2016 for grant of Short Service
Commission (SSC) for Law Graduates in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate
General Department.Applications are invited from married / unmarried
Male and unmarried Female candidates from 18 January 2016 to 16 February
2016 at 17:00 Hours.
Name of Course : JAG Entry Scheme 17th Course OCT 2016
Number of Posts : 14 Posts (Men – 10, Women – 04)
Age Limit : Between 21 to 27 years (Candidate must have been Born not earlier than 02 July 1989 and not later than 01 July 1995)
Stipend : Candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- pm. After completion of training they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank

Education Qualification : Candidate must have completed LLB
Degree (three years professional after graduation or five years after
10+2 examination) with minimum 55% aggregate marks from a
College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.The candidates
should be eligible for registration with Bar Council of India/State
Training Period : Candidates will be given training for 49 weeks (approximately 11 months) at OTA, Chennai. After successful completion of training, candidates will be granted commission in the rank of Lt. No ante date seniority will be granted
