Southern Railway, Chennai has issued a notification for General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) which will be conducted for Direct Recruitment Quota vacancies under GDCE in the category of Assistant Station Master.Candidates may submit application form till 22nd January 2016.

Name of Post : Assistant Station Master

Number of Posts : 195 Posts (SC-36,ST-23,OBC-32,UR-104)

Scale of Pay : Rs.5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay Rs 2800

Age Limit : Upper age limit is 42 years for UR candidates, 47 years for SC/ST and 45 years for OBC candidates.

Education Qualification : Three years Degree from a recognized university or its equivalent under the provision of UGC Act.Diploma in Rail Transport and Management/ Transport Economics and Multi-Modal Transport with be desirable

Selection Process : Selection will be made through General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) which will consist of Written Examination/ Online examination, Aptitude Test, Verification of certificates and Medical Examination
