Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has issued a notification at http://www.tnpsc.gov.in for Direct recruitment to fill up 813 vacancies of Village Administrative Officer (VAO) in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service.Last Date for submission of application through online mode is 14th December 2015.

Scale of Pay : Candidates will be selected as Village Administrative Officer (VAO) in pay scale of (PB1) Rs.5,200 - 20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs.2400.

Age Limit : Minimum age limit is 21 years for all categories and Maximum age limit is 40 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes & 30 years for all others categories.Age relaxation will be given to Differently Abled Persons up to 10 years.

Education Qualification : Candidate must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies and candidates also have adequate knowledge of Tamil language.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be made through Written Examination (Objective Type) in General studies,Basics of Village Administration, Aptitude & Mental Ability Test & General Tamil / General English.Candidate will have option to choose either General Tamil or General English.Syllabus for 
examination is available on Commission’s Website www.tnpsc.gov.in

Examination Fee : Candidates who want to apply have to pay One - Time Registration fee of Rs.50 & Examination Fee of Rs.75. The registration shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of one-time registration.Fee must be pay online mode only.No fee required from Scheduled Caste,Scheduled Tribes,Differently Abled Persons & Destitute Widow.

How to Apply : Candidate may apply online through TNPSC Commission's Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or in www.tnpscexams.net up to 14th December 2015 till 11.59 p.m.Candidate must fill all details as per instruction.Candidate should upload  latest photograph and signature and fill all details as per instructions.After submission of application,candidates can print /save their application.
