Indian Air Force has released an employment notification at http://careerairforce.nic.in for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) – 01/ 2016.Applications are invited from Indian Citizen (men and women) to join The Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officer in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches starting from 5th December 2015 to 31st December 2015.

Courses Commencing in January 2017

1.Flying Branch:

No. 201/17F/SSC/M & W (Short Service Commission for Men & Women)

2.Technical Branch:

No. 200/17T/PC/M (Permanent Commission for Men)

No. 200/17T/SSC/M & W (Short Service Commission for Men & Women)

3.Ground Duty Branch:

No. 200/17G/PC/M (Permanent Commission for Men)

No. 200/17G/SSC/M (Short Service Commission for Men & Women)

Age Limit: 

• Flying Branch : Between 20 to 24 years as on 1st January 2017 i.e. candidate should have been born between 02 Jan 1993 to 01 Jan 1997 (Both Dates inclusive).

• Technical Branch : Between 20 to 26 years as on 1st January 2017 i.e. candidate should have been born between 02 Jan 1991 to 01 Jan 1997 (Both Dates inclusive).

• Ground Duty Branches : Between 20 to 26 years as on 1st January 2017 i.e. candidate should have been born between 02 Jan 1991 to 01 Jan 1997 (Both Dates inclusive).

Monthly Emoluments

• Flying Branch :- Rs.80,238/-
• Technical Branch :- Rs.69,238/-
• (Ground Duty Branches :- Rs.66,738/-

Education Qualification: 

(i) Flying Branch : Candidate must possess minimum three year Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate OR BE / B.Tech degree (Four year course) from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate

(ii) Technical Branch :  Four year degree qualification from a recognised University or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies

(iii) Ground Duty Branches : Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Degree in any discipline (Graduate Degree in Commerce (B Com) for Account Branch)

Selection Process : Selection process will consist of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT), Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) (applicable only for candidates applying for technical branch), Screening test, Psychological test, Group Tests and Interview.Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) will be conducted on 21st February 2016 (Sunday).
